Coming soon — the device and the installs are not live yet

A door that opens for the guest, and for nobody else.

A lock on your unit that issues one code per booking — over Airbnb, Booking.com or a CondoBase reservation — starts working at check-in, stops working the minute the stay ends, and hands the window straight to whoever cleans the unit. Nobody meets anyone with a key.

One email when it is live. No newsletter unless you ask for one.

For owners who rent their own unit and for agents managing someone else’s. You do not need to be a CondoBase agent to join the list.

The stay, minute by minute

Five things happen on their own. Today, one and a half of them do — the rest are what the waitlist is for, and each row says which.

  1. 01

    Your calendar stops double-booking

    Live

Bookings from Airbnb and Booking.com are imported into your CondoBase calendar as real reservations, so two channels cannot sell the same night and your availability count stays honest.

    Live today for short-let listings.

  2. 02

The code is issued the moment a booking lands

    Coming

Whatever the channel — Airbnb, Booking.com or a direct CondoBase reservation — one code is minted for that stay, valid from check-in to checkout and useless outside those hours.

  3. 03

    The guest arrives alone

    Coming

They type the code on the door. No key handover, no meeting at a lobby at midnight, and no lockbox on the corridor wall with the whole building knowing your combination.

Codes are stored on the lock, so a drop in the building wifi does not lock a guest out.

  4. 04

    The code dies at checkout

    Coming

It is revoked at the end of the stay, not left in a WhatsApp thread. Every entry is logged, so a damage claim has times and events behind it rather than a guess.

  5. 05

Cleaning is ordered from the same event

    Coming

Checkout opens a cleaning window for that unit — offered to the cleaners who work that building, accepted by one, and closed when the job is marked done.

Today cleaners already send you offers on your short-let listings; the automatic order is the part that is coming.

What already runs today

Two halves of this are not a plan, they are running — and the boundary of each one is stated here rather than discovered by an owner who assumed more.

One calendar, every channel

Airbnb and Booking.com bookings arrive as real reservations with their own source, so they block dates, they show in your dashboard, and they cannot coexist with a CondoBase booking for the same night.

What it does not do: it syncs bookings and availability, it does not run your pricing or your guest messaging on those platforms.

Cleaners bid, you choose

Cleaning companies browsing your building can send an offer on your short-let listing — what they charge, when they can come, what they cover. You accept or decline, and you deal with them directly.

What it does not do: CondoBase takes no payment and schedules nothing yet. An accepted offer means “contact the party directly” — the automatic order after each stay is exactly what this page is waiting on.

What the device has to do before it goes on a door

We have not picked the hardware yet, and this page will not pretend otherwise. These are the conditions a lock has to meet to be the one we install — in a condo tower, on a door nobody on our side is allowed to damage.

  • Codes that live on the lock

The code has to work with the building wifi down. If a guest can be locked out by a router, the product is a liability, not a feature.

  • Battery you hear about in advance

A low-battery warning days out, a physical key as the last resort, and a stated life we can quote honestly instead of "about a year".

  • Retrofit, not a renovation

Fits the existing cylinder or the existing handle. Many condos here have one entry door, a building rule about drilling, and a landlord who wants it as it was.

  • Codes with a start and an end

Per-booking validity windows, one-tap revocation, and a log of who entered when — issued and revoked from a browser or your phone, not by walking to the door. The code sits on the lock; you manage it online.

  • A guest who never installs anything

Keypad first. The app is for you and the cleaner, not a condition of a guest getting in at 01:00.

  • Something we can install for you

A device that needs a technician in three cities is not a service. Install logistics per market are part of the selection, not an afterthought.

The point is not the lock

A lock is the part a guest notices. What an owner is buying is a unit that runs while they are somewhere else — booked, entered, cleaned and ready for the next stay without a phone call. The three pieces are one service, and the lock is the one that ties the dates to the door.

Pricing is not set. We are not going to invent a number for a service that has no hardware selected yet — the waitlist hears the number first, and nobody is charged for joining a list.

Questions owners actually ask

Is it live? Can I install a lock today?
No. Automatic entry is not live: there is no device chosen, no installer and no pricing yet. The two things that are live today are the calendar sync with Airbnb and Booking.com, and the cleaning offers cleaners can send you on a short-let listing. Join the waitlist and you will hear before anything is announced publicly.
What happens if the internet goes down in the building?
That is one of the conditions the device has to meet before we pick it: the codes live on the lock, not in the cloud, so a guest can still get in with the wifi down. The cloud is where you manage codes and read the log — not a dependency for opening the door.
What does the cleaner actually get?
A window, not a key. When a stay ends, the cleaning window for that unit opens and cleaners who work the building can take it. On the lock, a cleaner code with its own validity window is a separate thing from the guest code — it does not open the door at other times.
Can I still hand over a key?
Yes, and we will not pretend otherwise: many guests want a person at the door, and some buildings insist on it. The lock is there to remove the midnight handover, not to forbid you from meeting someone.
My building may not allow a lock like this. What then?
We would rather tell you now than take a deposit: the device has to retrofit the existing cylinder or handle without drilling, and install logistics per market are part of choosing it. If your building forbids it, we will say so when we look at your door instead of selling you the hardware.
What does it cost?
Not set. There is no price on this page because there is no selected hardware to price. Joining the waitlist costs nothing and commits you to nothing, and the price is announced to the list before the service opens up.

If you already rent the unit out, you are the reason this exists

The waitlist is a real list, not a form that goes nowhere: it decides which cities get installs first.

One email when it is live. No newsletter unless you ask for one.

Want the unit listed while you wait? List it free during beta — and if you manage several, an agent account is free too.

Nothing on this page is live yet except the calendar sync and the cleaning offers — both described above, both with their limits written down.
